Trixie Gortney Colwell's Obituary
Trixie Gortney Colwell, 94, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at her home in McCool, MS. She was a member of the Berea Baptist Church in McCool, MS. Survivors include her son, Billy Wayne Gortney and wife Myriam Benevides of McCool, MS; daughter, Elaine Boyd and husband. Bobby of McCool, MS; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Bertha Johnson Tucker; first husband, Eugene Gortney and second husband, George Colwell. Pallbearers will be Cindy Thornton, Carolyn Lampier, Billy Wayne Gortney, Lee Boyd, Nicole Gortney and Bobby Boyd. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
