Tom L. Leaders' Obituary
Tom Leaders, 69, of Tampa, FL, died Monday, March 11, 2024. He was one of five children born to Gene Bockelman Leaders Hills and Raymond Leaders. He grew up in the farming community near Angola, Indiana and worked on his family shrimp boats the Gloria Ann and the Serena when they moved to Hudson, FL. Graduating from the University of South Florida in 1978, his degree in Engineering Technology led him to start his career at Economy Drugs in Tampa. Later as an independent contractor as well as a Director of Development, he worked for companies where his abilities in computer software were valued. His 1979 marriage to Ruth Lee Cox produced three children: Amanda, Joseph, and Henry. He joyously loved his two grandchildren, Victoria and little Joe. His father and granddaughter Aubree predeceased him. He is survived by siblings Jerry, Roger (Laura), Judy (Edward), and Sue (Mike), 9 nieces and nephews, and their children.
