Tina L. Smith was born February 16, 1963 in Saginaw, MI to Verna L. Ellis and William Collins. Tina passed peacefully on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at home surrounded by family and love at the age of 57 years. She became a resident in the state of Florida around 1992. On October 28, 2017 she married husband Donnell Smith in Plant City, FL. Tina was a member of St Luke Missionary Baptist church where she earned the title of Deaconess. Tina was known for her excellent chef skills in the kitchen. Cooking was her passion and it was something that she took great pride in and it showed in every dish she prepared. Tina was also the social butterfly of the family. She was the glue the kept all the blended family members Together. In fact, it’s because of her... Our family is bigger and stronger than ever. Tina leaves behind to cherish many, many memories her husband Donnell Smith, Plant City; daughter Felicia Collins, two grandchildren Christopher D. Elliott Jr. and Vincent S. Mitchell II all of St. Petersburg; grandmother Evelyn Murphy of Saginaw, MI; six sisters Rebecca McAdory, Largo, FL, Rosanna (Lawrence) Knowles, Brandon, FL, Livinia (Maurice) Collins, New Port Richey, FL, Mary Collins, Sarah Flinnon, Vernadette Stevenson, all of Saginaw, MI; two brothers Michael Fuse and Roland Stapleton; a plethora of nieces and nephews to include but not limited to Derek (Arletha) Smith, Plant City, FL, Jonathan Wilson, Reno, NV, Joseph (Nicole) Comer Jr., Bradenton, FL, Stephon McAdory, Largo, FL, Lamont Collins, Jasmine (Juahn) Evans both of Dunedin, FL, Daniel (Paulina) Collins and Quentin Knowles, both of Brandon, FL, C'erra Jackson and Aaliyah Layton both of Saginaw, MI; three uncles Ronald Williams, Calvin (Charmaine) Shade both of Saginaw, MI, James Agnew; one aunt Georgia Taylor; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends Lois (Michael) Balls of Saginaw, MI, Anderson Smith Jr. of Plant City, FL and Douglas (Delphine) Billups of St. Petersburg, FL, David Cabey of St. Petersburg. Tina was preceded in death by her father William Collins; mother Verna Ellis; stepfather John A. Ellis Jr.; brother Ronald Stapleton and two sisters Debra Hill and Carol Davis.
