Tom was a machinist working for the government testing engines, boilers,
asbestos, etc on Navy ships. They moved to New Jersey where he
volunteered for the Stratford Fire Department, eventually becoming a
Lieutenant. He felt he no longer wanted to be away for weeks at a times
from the family that he loved so much, so he retired in 1976. He, Dolores,
Tom Jr and Lisa followed their oldest daughter, Donna, and her new
husband, Don, to Pinellas Park, FL.
Dolores went to be with the Lord in 1993 after a 2 year battle with ALS.
After going back to North Carolina where he and Dolores had been living,
he began writing to June in Russia. It was at that time he gave his life to
the Lord. In December, 1994 June came home and he came back to
Florida. They saw each other every day and eventually were married.
After nearly 6 years of living with Alzheimers, he went to be with the Lord.
Everyone who knew and loved him are grateful to know that his mind and
body are now whole and healthy. We thank you, Jesus.
