Thomas Delain Harmon's Obituary
Thomas D. Harmon July 29, 1944 – October 20, 2017
St. Petersburg, FL — LTC Thomas D. Harmon Ret, age 73, passed away Friday after a long battle with COPD.
LTC Harmon is survived by his wife, Carolyn, their one son Thomas S. Harmon Esquire and his wife DeAnna, his four grandchildren, Kendall Ruth-Ann Harmon, Thomas D. Harmon II, Chandler Renee Harmon, Lucas Dean Harmon, his mother Voncille Harmon, two nephews Chad and Jared Harmon, one niece Shanna Harmon Pearson, and his sister-in-law Nancy Harmon.
LTC Harmon is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Silver Star, three Distinguished Flying Crosses, a Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, and the Soldiers Medal.
Tom grew up in Ponca City, Okla. attending the Hartford and Joe Church of Christ where he accepted Christ as his Savior. His death follows that of his younger brother Troy Michael Harmon who passed away six years ago.
Services will be held this Friday, October 27th at 1pm at the Northwest Church of Christ on 38th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida. He will be interred in a family vault in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
