Theodore 'Ted S. Thurner's Obituary
Thurner, Theodore S., 'Ted', 80 of Seminole passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Harmony Health and Rehabilitation in Sarasota. Born in Manhattan, New York, he moved here in 1957 from Springfield, New Jersey. He was a member of the VFW, Battle Hill Post # 7683; the Unified Sportsmen of Florida; the Wyoming Antelope Club of Pinellas Park and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was an active Roman Catholic. A Navy Veteran of WWII he served on board the USS John A Bole Destroyer DD755 seeing action in the North Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He also served in the US Marine Reserves. He was an Avid reader. He worked for the US Postal Service in Summit, New Jersey and St. Petersburg and retired from Bay Pines Regional Medical Center in 1986 where he was a central service technician.
