Mrs. Thelma M. Shenk's Obituary
Shenk, Thelma M., of Palm Harbor, Fl died at St. Mark Village on July 23, 2012. She retired to St. Petersburg with her late husband, Raymond U. Shenk, in 1964 from Reading, PA where she was Director of the Bureau of Health Laboratory. After the death of her husband in 1980, she returned to work and was employed by Dr. John W. Jennings in St. Petersburg for 8 years. She was a graduate of Reading High School, Northwest Medical Institute of Technology, McCann School of Business and had taken special courses at Pennsylvania State University. She was a member of the American Medical Technologists for more than 50 years, a life member of Alpha Iota International Honorary Business Sorority, Reading Chapter No. 251 O.E.S., and Palm Harbor United Methodist Church. She is survived by her nephew Blaine Strunk of Bethlehem, PA.
