Sylvia Dawn Maynard, 81, of St. Petersburg, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Sylvia attended Cornerstone Community Church and worked in their daycare. In her later years, she was a caregiver for her parents. Sylvia enjoyed cooking and baking; especially cookies for those at her retirement residence, Benjamin Towers. She was very outgoing and friendly and never met a stranger. Sylvia also enjoyed crocheting and was very crafty. She is survived by her two loving sisters Sue Hunter and her husband Warren and Amy Maring and her husband Larry Inman; nephews Michael Hunter and his wife Pam and Jimmy Maring; niece Debbie Freund and her husband Steven and several grandnieces and nephews. Sylvia was a kind, loving soul that always looked for and found the good in people and she will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.
