Sylvia A. Bailey's Obituary
Bailey, Sylvia A., 90, of Largo, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. She was born in Middletown, CT and moved with her grandparents to St. Petersburg. She was an avid sports fan; always was cheering on her Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. She also enjoyed watching Nascar, going to the movies as well as watching the Hallmark Channel, jig-saw puzzles, word search and Bingo. Long walks with Sylvia down Central Avenue was always a great treat. She was a life-long cat lover. Sylvia never met a stranger; she could talk to anyone, anywhere and about anything. She was known as the “Family Calendar” – always remembered birthdays, anniversaries and would be the first one to call. Later in life, she mastered the tablet and would spend time having fun playing games. Sylvia is survived by her brother Eugene Bailey and his wife Andrea; niece LeeAnn Sauls Bowen and her husband Charles; their children: great niece Christine Bowen Massa and her husband Phil; their children great-great niece Samantha Massa and great-great nephew Anthony Massa; great niece Cassandra Bowen and her husband Cody Williams; niece Loreen Sauls Miller and her husband Thomas; their children: great niece Laura Miller Peters and her husband Kyle, their children: great-great niece Charlotte “Charley” Jane Peters; great nephew Tommy Miller; niece Anita Sauls Weaver and her husband Mark and their children great niece Victoria and great nephew Trent Weaver. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Bruce with his wife Tina, his children great nephew Little Bruce and great niece Stephanie, Brian and his wife Betsy, Jeannette, Blair, Katie, and Tara and great nephew Eric. Sylvia also has a large extended family, too numerous to mention individually.
