Susan Marie Funk's Obituary
Susan Marie Funk, known affectionately as Susie, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Seminole, Florida. Born on January 6, 1959, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, Susie lived a vibrant and faith-filled life.
Susie graduated from Seminole High School and furthered her education at St. Petersburg College. In her professional life, Susie was a licensed minister who inspired congregations as far away as Pakistan. She also worked as a traffic reporter for iHeart Radio, a ghostwriter for multiple books, a sales representative for Airgas, and a journalist for the Orange County Register in California.
A woman of deep faith, Susie was actively involved in interdenominational worship and attended many area churches, including Oakhurst United Methodist Church. Her outgoing and festive personality was a beacon of joy and humor. Always placing Jesus first, she exuded a deep faith that influenced many around her. Susie was also artistically gifted, enjoying music, art, and drama. She was a talented singer and recorded several CDs.
Susie leaves behind a loving family, including her mother, Bette A. LoBue; her brother, Michael F. LoBue, and sister-in-law, Carmen S. LoBue. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank R. LoBue.
Susie's legacy of love, laughter, and faith will be cherished by all who knew her. Her life's impact, marked by her concern for others and her vibrant spirit, will continue to inspire those she has left https://behind.
Visitation is Friday, August 15, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Funeral Service is Saturday, August 16, at 2:00 pm at Oakhurst United Methodist Church.
