Steven Michael Tannehill's Obituary
Steven Michael Tannehill, 62, of St. Petersburg, went to be with the Lord on the night of Monday, March 11th 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born in West Helena, Arkansas and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1988 with his late wife Debbie Tannehill where they were blessed with three children: Katie, Caleb, and Carli Tannehill. Steven’s life was marked by a profound commitment to both his career and his faith. Graduating from computer school in 2001, he pursued a career as a computer programmer and later as a project manager for 12 years. However, his true calling lay in ministry, where he faithfully served for 42 years. Alongside his late wife, he pastored Victory Christian Center for 13 years, and continued his ministry as an assistant pastor, as well as in the Jail Ministry. Additionally, Steve managed several properties from 2012 onwards. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Tannehill, Step- Father Donald Freeman, and his late wife, Deborah Tannehill. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Danute Tannehill, their children Katie, Caleb, and Carli Tannehill and Edgaras Kaveckas, Gintautas Kaveckas, and Kristina Kaveckaite. Also his mother, Carolyn Freeman, brother Todd (Christa) Freeman; and many nieces and nephews.
To honor Steve’s remarkable life, there will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, March 17th at 4pm at his home church, Family Oasis 5000 42nd Ave N, St. Petersburg 33709. Following this, a Graveside Burial service will take place on Monday, March 18th , at 1pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery.
