Silas Edward Daniel III's Obituary
Silas E. Daniel Ill, age 74, Passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2023.
Silas Daniel Ill was born August 10, 1948 to Silas E. Daniel Jr. And Barbara (Peters) Sexton. He was a native of St. Petersburg, graduating from Boca Ciega High School in 1966. There he was an active member of the baseball, track and football teams holding a long-standing school record in track and field. He was an accomplished athlete and played on multiple intramural teams. Silas was an Eagle Scout at the age of 14, making the cover of Boys Life Magazine, he later went on to be a member of the Boy Scout Council.
Silas was in the ROTC Army and was honorably discharged a short time later. He was a 1970 graduate of Florida Southern from there he went on to the Medical College of Virginia where he graduated in 1974 and practiced dentistry for over four decades in Pinellas County.
Silas loved the outdoors, spending as much time on the water as he could boating and fishing.
Preceded in death by his parents Silas E. Daniel Jr. and Barbara (Peters) Sexton. He is survived by, and will be greatly missed by his wife Sherryl, sister Candace (Steve) Daniel-Doss, son Silas E. Daniel IV, a stepdaughter Shay Centanni, and step granddaughter Page.
There will be a private, family, graveside service held at a later date.
