Sibyl Wagner's Obituary
Sibyl Wagner passed away February 3, 2021. She was born September 29, 1929 in Winter Haven. She graduated from Winter Haven high school in 1947. She spent her freshman year in college at FSU and transferred to the University of Alabama where she graduated in the class of 1951.
She then moved to Atlanta where she trained new employees to work in Rich's department store and married Guy Albert McDonald. They moved to Roswell Ga. and had a daughter, Dianne McDonald. She later worked at American Lighting in Sandy Springs and managed Metro Lighting Co, in Roswell, but she is probably best known for her Pillows with Personality, where her pillows were at craft shows all over the Southeastern US. She was a member of the North Lakeland Presbyterian church in Lakeland, The Delta Zeta Sorority, The Roswell Garden club in Roswell, GA.
She was president of the Band Parents at Winter Haven High in the 1970's. She is preceeded in death by her parents, Dewey Edgar and Jenelle S. Griffin, her husband, Robert O. Wagner. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne McDonald of Lakeland, cousins Joel Mitchell of Jacksonville, Betty Curry of Cocoa Beach, Richard Saunders of Bartow FL and Lee Saunders of Lakeland, FL. She was buried on February 12, next to Bob Wagner, in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in St. Petersburg Florida.
