Shirley Ann Conley Mendes Chartier's Obituary
Shirley passed away peacefully in her home on February 3, 2022.
She was raised in a military family in Southern Coastal New England. She met her first husband on a military base in Rhode Island and was married after her high school graduation. Her and her husband moved to Massachusetts where they had an adventurous life raising five children. She continued her adventures with family in St. Petersburg starting in the late 1960’s.
She will be lovingly missed by all her children, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Shirley enjoyed watching westerns, game shows, mysteries and movies on tv. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends as well as solving word puzzles, reading and gardening.
One of her greatest pleasures were her nightly cup of tea and some cookies.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her family as “Stubborn Shirley”.
