Mrs. Shannon Ann McNeill's Obituary
Shannon Ann (McGarry) McNeill, age 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018, at her home in St. Petersburg, Florida, after a 10 year fight against ovarian cancer. She was born April 24, 1963, in Orlando, Florida, to Robert and Janet (Lynch) McGarry. Shannon was a 1981 graduate of Edgewater High School in Orlando, and then 1985 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She worked for TRW in the credit data field, and then as an OB/GYN office manager. Shannon was a beautiful, caring, and kindhearted person who loved spending time with her husband, son, friends and two dogs. She enjoyed travelling, gardening, Lightning hockey, Gator football, race walking, and skiing. She was known as a second mom to many of her son’s friends. Shannon inspired all who knew her with her courage, strength, and positivity and helped many fight cancer through her story and charity work. She is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Scott; sister, Donna McGarry; sister, Robin McGarry; sister; Judy (McGarry) Murray; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5750 49th St. N. St Petersburg, FL, at 10:00am on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Reception and food following the ceremony.
