Sebastian Savalli's Obituary
Sebastian Savalli, 60, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on July 18, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1965, in Queens, New York, to the late Frederick and Doris Savalli. Sebastian is preceded in death by his sister, Marianne Vanness. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Irene Savalli; children, Anastasios Kappos, Maria McGirl, and Sebastian Nicholas Savalli; granddaughter, Hannah Kappos; and sisters, Julianne, Stelianne, and Lorianne Savalli. He loved his family deeply.
Sebastian had a diverse educational background, attending boarding schools in England and Switzerland. His career journey was equally varied and vibrant. He initially owned and operated Corned Beef Corner, a restaurant where he showcased his passion for cooking. Later, he sold the restaurant and pursued a new career path as an aeronautical mechanic. He spent his subsequent years working for Delta, where he applied his mechanical skills.
Sebastian was a member of St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church. His hobbies included playing musical instruments such as the drums, guitar, and bass. He also had a profound love for cars, dedicating time to refurbishing them, particularly his cherished Datsun 280Z.
A service to honor his life will be held at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church, 3600 76th St. N., St. Petersburg FL 33710 on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 12:30 PM. Guests are welcome to arrive at 11:30 AM for an hour of visiting. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with a Reception at Kissin’ Cuzzins Restaurant, 951 34th St. N., St. Petersburg FL 33713 starting at 2:00 PM.
