Sarah Jean Zimmermann's Obituary
Sarah Jean Zimmermann, 82 years of age, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at home peacefully in her sleep.
Sarah was born September 24th, 1942, in Charlotte, MI to the late Harry and Mary Moore. She was one of fifteen Moore children with twelve that preceded her in death. Sarah graduated High School in Charlotte, MI.
Sarah (also known as Jeannie) married her late first husband Dr Marson H Johnson Sr of Eaton Rapids, MI then moved to Lansing, MI and worked at Michigan State University in admissions while raising their three children Marson Jr, Caroline and Sheryl. Then moving with family to Gaithersburg, MD where she was a legal secretary and paralegal until moving to Tampa, FL where she once again went to work for Carlton Fields as a legal secretary then moving to McAllen, Tx with family for a short time to return back to Tampa, FL. and Carlton Fields. Sarah converted to become catholic and married her late second husband Dr Roger Zimmermann and relocated to Tucson, AZ where she was employed by Lewis Roca law firm also in the position of legal secretary to proudly include being the president of the legal secretaries association in Arizona and well respected by all. Then retiring and moving back to Florida to be near her family and grandchildren. Sarah was truly a pure soul; she carried herself as a classy lady, professional yet down to earth and set a great example for others to follow that she came by honestly by her upbringing and strong family values, not being perfect but as close as one could be. God, her family, friends always came first, and she was willing to sacrifice herself to a fault without a thought. In true Moore tradition Sarah's home was always open to anyone in need, during holidays, birthdays and just any special events or get-togethers all were welcome, even to just stop by and talk. Sarah was truly a jack of all trades that she also came by honestly, Sarah was a perfectionist at everything she did, in her cooking, sewing and seamstress work for everyone, knitting, macrameing, gardening and caring for her schnauzer's and tortoises, mentoring and investing in her family and others, Sarah was the glue of the family in being mom, wife, grandma and great grandma, sister, aunt, friend, the mediator, peacemaker and fixer, etc. She truly mastered being a multitasker at a hundred miles an hour and nothing less by design. Sarah loved to read, travel and adventure to new places, learning as she went, becoming a font of information and experiences that she loved to share with all, especially all and I say all of her photos taken to document each and every one of them.
Sarah (Jeanie) was a Blessing to us all! Thank You, Lord.
