Sally Jo Norris' Obituary
Sally Jo Norris
October 2, 1957 – March 8, 2026
“I’m Stucky!" and "I won’t let anybody take my joy.”
Sally Jo Norris passed away peacefully in Saint Petersburg, Florida, after a courageous battle with metastatic esophageal cancer. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sally lived a life rooted in Christian faith, kindness, and unwavering resilience.
She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy was being “Mom” to her daughter, Kristin Norris. Sally found happiness in life’s simple moments—crocheting, gardening, playing games, traveling, and sharing laughter over black-and-white movies, road trips, and time spent with those she loved.
In 2023, she began a new chapter as a Community Association Manager at The Grandview Tampa with First Service Residential, continuing to demonstrate her strong work ethic and positive spirit.
Sally is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kristin Norris; her sister Patti Norris; her nephews Brian Clearwater (Christine) and Robbie Clearwater (Jennifer); and her dear friends Melissa Malone, Laura Rockel, Noel Swan, Barb Joia, and Ann Cloar. She was guided in faith by Oscar Banks and is reunited in heaven with her sister, Judy Clearwater.
Sally’s life was a reflection of faith, love, and quiet strength. She reminded us all to protect our joy and share it freely.
In honoring her memory, donations may be made to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation or the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg.
