Ruth Conner "Ruthie" Warner's Obituary
Warner, Ruth Conner "Ruthie"; 92, passed away on April 30, 2013. She grew up in the Panama Canal Zone, worked for the US Army, and had a very interesting life traveling throughout Latin America and the Caribbean Islands. A long time member of the Balboa Yacht Club, she enjoyed sailing and fishing and spending weekends at her home on Taboga Island. Upon retiring in 1975, Ruth moved to Florida, but spent several months a year at her cabin in Vermont, traveling the back-country roads of New England with her devoted dog Connie. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Agnes Conner, and sisters Agnes Dalton and Doris Fredette. She is survived by her son, Capt Wm Halvosa, 3rd and wife Donna and her daughter Jeanne Sperry and husband Peter in Hawaii. Ruth is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. After a private service, she will rest in peace nearby her sister Agnes at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
