Mrs Ruth P Subda's Obituary
Ruth Louise Subda, a long-time resident of St. Petersburg, passed away at her home Monday the 13th of July of natural causes. Born in 1922 in Hackensack, New Jersey, Ruth married there in 1949 to Edward Subda. Ruth and Edward moved to St. Petersburg in 1957. Ruth was an excellent cook, and enjoyed good food and socializing. She loved to travel and made numerous trips to Mexico, Central, South America, Europe and the Mid-East during her life. She was also an able businesswoman and investor, owning and managing two hotels in downtown St. Petersburg for many years. Ruth stayed active in later life, holding a position at Sears for 16 years until 2008. She is survived by 3 of her children, William Subda, Eddie Esielionis, and Jaci Loos; her sister Yvonne Foytlin, and brothers Reggie and John Preli. Her husband, Edward, and her younger son, Jamie, precede Ruth in death. In lieu of Flowers we ask you donate to Habitats for Humanity or the S.P.C.A.
