Ruth Ann Carroll's Obituary
Ruth Ann Carroll, 86, passed away on Thursday, September 16th, 2021, at her home.
Ruth Ann (Watson) Carroll was born on December 29, 1934, to her loving parents, Robert and Alberta Watson in Dayton, Ohio. She moved with her family to Florida where she met and married the love of her life, Richard. Ruth had a love and passion for music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and accordion, as well as being part of the church choirs where she attended.
She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and was known to all for her sweet spirit, her kindness, and a generous heart. She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, James R. Carroll, daughter and son-in-law Janie and Craig Olson, son Tim Carroll, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tammy Carroll, son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Rhonda Carroll, sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie, and Russell Spittler, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ruth will start at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 23 in the Memorial Park Funeral Chapel, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL. Memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Art Dykstra from Feather Sound Church. Services will begin with visitation from 10:30AM to 11:30AM and the memorial service from 11:30AM to 12:30PM. Graveside service will held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, September 23 at Memorial Park Cemetery .
In lieu of flowers, if you’d prefer, the family requests donations in honor of Ruth be sent to the Gideons International at www.gideons.org.
