Ruth Ann Brown's Obituary
Ruth Brown, 79yrs, of Pinellas Park, passed away Nov 27, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. She fought and beat cancer twice until a recent reoccurrence where her body was just too tired to fight anymore. She was born on Jan. 22, 1942 in Berwind, West Virginia, to parents Roy & Virginia Asbury. Ruth graduated from Big Creek High School in West Virginia in 1960. She briefly moved to Baltimore after graduation then moved to Florida where she resided until her passing. She met and married her husband Jerry Brown in Dec. 1965. Ruth was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was known as "Mama Ruth" to many whom she loved as her own.
Ruth was a preschool teacher at I Discover Christian Academy formally known as Busy Bee Daycare for over 30yrs until she retired in 2013. She absolutely loved working with children and wouldn’t of ever retired if she didn’t have to.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Brown, her granddaughter Skylynn Marie, two brothers Roger and David and four sisters Mary, Carol, Martha and Helen.
She is survived by her two sons Jerry and Terry Brown, her twin daughters Sherry Morris and Shelly Brown, 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and sisters Joyce, Sadie, Sherry and Terry as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins
