Ross W. Deetz's Obituary
Deetz, Ross W., 84, of Kenneth City, passed away Monday Feb. 5, at the Apollo Health and Rehab Center in St. Petersburg. He was a native of Windham, OH and moved to this area in 1983 from Muskogee, OK. He retired from the Bay Pines VA
Hospital in 1987, from the engineering department. He was a US Army veteran of WW II in the 945th Field Artillery. He served under General Patton during the Battle of the Bulge. He was missing in action from Dec. 1944 to June of 1945. He was a member of the DAV, an artist of landscape painting, enjoyed biking and supported The Haven of Rest Rescue Mission. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bettie; three sons, David Ross Deetz of Evansville, IN, Michel Deetz of Summit, MO and Daniel Deetz of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren
