Rose Nell Owens, 86, of St. Petersburg passed away peacefully at home on January 18th, 2015. She is survived by her 3 daughters and loving family. There will be a Graveside Service at 1:30pm on WED January 21st at Memorial Park C Read Obituary
Rose always treated me with great caring and affection as an adopted son. She was first and foremost a caring and loving mother to her daughters Linda, Peggy and Barbara and grandchildren Terry, Larry, Ron, Rae Ann , JR, Michael, and Andy.
Rose you would ask me to pray in your presence for help, comfort, peace and for you to be with Jesus. I thank God for answering our prayer. I will continue to pray for Barbara as you would have wanted.

Grandma was a wonderful lady. Even when Grandpa and I would go to the store and show up hours later we would say "we got lost" that was code for went fishing. Some times we would take her trash can lids and set them up in the backyard and shoot them with BB guns. She may have given Grandpa a hard time later but we never saw her get angry.

I had the privilege for six years to serve as Miss Owens pastor. We kept in touch by phone even though I moved away to Kentucky. I am grateful to have known her and enjoyed very much visiting with her on several occasions. Rose always had an unexplainable joy in the Lord even though she was in a great amount of pain. I loved her, learned much from her and will miss her greatly that we committed to the Lord. We are praying for Barbara and the rest of the family.
