I met Ron when his dad had a store at 59th and Homan or Spaulding. We went to grammer school together and bonded right away. I am a Vietnam vet as well. Ron was a crazy guy but so was I. Ron had a good heart if you were lucky enough to be close enough to him to see that side of him. We always stayed in touch and I visited him in the 70's when he left Chicago to go to Florida. Our lives seemed to be on the same path even when apart. I considered him a true brother and still do. We shared many stories of "the old days" and always had a good laugh. I have to admit he would drive me crazy with his inventions, I think he has some patents out there on several of his inventions. He would get frustrated when I expressed my inpatients listening to his invention stories, lol. I have many funny and not so funny stories about Ron, I loved him & I will truly miss him and our long talks at night. Your fight is over Ron, keep a seat for me up there.
