Ronald Joseph Moretuzzo's Obituary
Ronald “Ron” Joseph Moretuzzo revved the engine of life for the last time on September 30, 2025, in Largo, Florida, bringing a 68-year earthly ride to a graceful halt. His birth on March 29, 1957, in Buffalo, NY, kick-started a journey that would make him an unforgettable character in the lives of many. He was the son of the late Roger and Bernice Moretuzzo and twin brother to the late Donald Moretuzzo.
The world has lost a man who was truly 'a breed apart,' and he is survived by family and friends who were the fuel to his fire: older brother Roger (Kirsten) Moretuzzo; nephew Erik (Mahaley) Moretuzzo and their son Eli; nephew Peter (Jacquelyn) Moretuzzo and their children Nolan and Helene; and his close friends Maria and Eleni "Beba." His love and laughter also echo in the hearts of countless friends and coworkers who became his extended family.
Ron had an outer iron clad protection system. Once he accepted you, his charismatic presence made lasting connections. His professional road map was etched at Pinellas County Utilities, where he navigated the waters of work since 1979, eventually taking the helm as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Ron's passion for technology and commitment to his work were paralleled only by his love for motorcycles, notably as a member of the Harley Davidson community. He cherished his pets, a German shepherd named Miska, and two cats, Bella and Amore, treating them as part of his family.
Ahead of Ron is a journey with no plans for pit stops or service announcements. The unstoppable spirit of Ron will continue in the many lives he touched, the trails he blazed, and the laughs he shared. Keep an ear out for that unmistakable chuckle in the wind—it's just Ron, riding his Harley on the heavenly highways with Dad as his co-pilot.
