Ronald Lancaster's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce that on November 9th, 2021 we had to say goodbye to our father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Ronald “Ronnie” Gene Lancaster of St. Petersburg, FL, who passed away at the age of 61.
Ronnie was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL. He was a 1978 graduate of Northeast High School and local business owner of Ron’s Upholstery. He enjoyed family gatherings and Sunday dinners with good food (Lynette’s fried chicken and biscuits and gravy were some of his favorites). He loved spending time with friends, bowling, playing pool, hunting, listening to country and rock and roll music, fishing, boating, R.C. cars and boats, and racecars too! His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lancaster; mother, Marion Lester; and stepfather, William “Bill” Lester. He is survived by his brother, John Lancaster and brother-in-law, Robert “Bobby” Bates; his children, Nick Lancaster, Crystal Lancaster, Cody Lancaster(Taryn), Ryan (Kendra) Coley, Carley (John) Klarides, and Summer Lancaster; his grandchildren, Troy Owens, McKenzie and Alyssa Coley, and Declan Klarides; his nieces and nephews, Kurt and John Lancaster, Logan Bates, Lindsay and Lexianne Bates; his uncle Johnny (Miko) Heiser and Aunt Edna (Curtis) Faulk; as well as his significant other, Robin R Rambo.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family as well as the many friends he leaves behind (some of whom he’s known for more than 50 years and were more like brothers to him!)
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Riviera United Methodist Church (175 62nd Ave N., St. Petersburg, FL 33702) on Saturday, November 20th, 2021. Viewing will begin at 12pm followed by the memorial service at 1pm.
