Roberta L. Beckner's Obituary
Roberta L. "Bobbie" Beckner of St Petersburg, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 1, 2019 in her home. She was 72.
A life-long native of St Petersburg, Bobbie was born in St. Anthony's Hospital September 10, 1946; the beautiful daughter of the late Robert and Iris Wager. She was a 1964 graduate of Northeast High School where she excelled in the NE Senior Choir under the direction of Mr. Setzer. Her musical interests continued after graduation as she enjoyed singing Karaoke and dancing. Other interests and hobbies she pursued include bowling, gardening, babysitting, NASCAR and classic cars. Bobbie was an avid animal lover especially dogs and cats. She spent several years as a dog trainer at Derby Lanes. She had many friends from all over the world and she often said she had a fabulous ride just enjoying life. Her fun loving adventurous spirit will be missed my many.
Bobbie was a proud veteran and served in the US Army where she received an Honorable Discharge in 1979.
Immediate funeral services are private at the convenience of her family and friends. Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th St N, St Petersburg, FL 33709 is serving the family. She will be laid to rest in the Garden of Meditation of Memorial Park Cemetery, St Petersburg, Florida.
