Robert John Weiss' Obituary
Robert John “Bob” Weiss, 77, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on February 5, 2026.
Bob was born on August 20, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Walter “Bud” Weiss and Eileen Weidner, who preceded him in death. He was a proud graduate of West Tech High School and remained a loyal alumnus throughout his life.
Bob dedicated 31 years of service as a Pipefitter for Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, Ohio. He was known for his large personality, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor. A devoted Cleveland Browns fan, Bob passionately supported all Cleveland sports teams and rarely missed a game. An avid golfer, he loved the camaraderie and competition the game brought and was always ready for a friendly challenge.
Above all, Bob was most proud of his family. He cherished his role as husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kathy Weiss; his daughters, Jennifer Wilkinson (Mike Wilkinson) and Tracy Weiss; his grandchildren, Jared Weiss, Morgan Janik (Brent Janik), and Owen Wilkinson; and his two great-grandsons, Everett and Beckett Janik, who were truly the apples of his eye.
Bob’s warmth, humor, and deep love for his family will be remembered always. He was a friend to everyone he met and a devoted lover of all animals, never meeting one he didn’t like. His loyal companion, his little dog TC, was especially dear to his heart and was lucky to have him as best friend and owner. He left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A celebration of life in his home state of Ohio will be held March 28th, 2026 from 2-6pm at the Pipefitters 120 Union Hall- Walsh Auditorium, located at 6305 Halle Dr, Valley View, OH 44125.
