Mr. Robert Owen Wagner's Obituary
Wagner, Robert Owen, 86 of Lakeland died April 25 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was born in West Palm Beach to Ralph B. Wagner and Edna Macomber Wagner. He attended Ashville School for Boys and was a graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, MA. He was predeceased by Janet Sundburg Wagner. He was the Manager of Central Florida Gas Company in Winter Haven. Later he worked for International Mineral as Personnel Manager and the Editor of the “Dragline”. In 1967 he became manager of the St. Pete Beach Chamber of Commerce. Later he worked with J.C. Penney & Romo Camera. He is survived by his wife, Sibyl Griffin Wagner of Lakeland; daughter, Susan E. Wagner of Gulfport; sons, John R. Wagner of Dunedin and Stephen R. Wagner of New Port Richey; stepdaughter, Dianne McDonald of Lakeland and a grandson, Eric John Wagner of St. Petersburg. He was a peacekeeper and while he was in the world he made it a better place. A Funeral Service will be held at the North Lakeland Presbyterian Church 6725 N. Socrum Loop Road Lakeland, FL 33809 at 2:00P on Wednesday April 29th. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
