Robert W Pope's Obituary
POPE, Robert W, 92, of St. Petersburg passed away June 16, 2014 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He was born in London, England in 1921. He served 7 years in WWII with the British Army. Bob met his wife Sarah (aka Sally) in London and they got married May 21st, 1949. Robert and Sally immigrated to America in January of 1955. He was a chef and worked at Royal Albert Hall in London, John E Andrews Memorial Home in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and at the NY Cardiac Center in Yonkers, NY. Robert and Sally moved to Florida in 1970 and he worked at Palms of Pasadena and Crown Nursing Home in St. Pete Beach. Robert loved soccer, music, and cooking. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sally. Funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Church, St. Pete Beach, on Friday July 11th at 11am. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 58th St. S. at 2pm.
