Robert William Lorenz Jr's Obituary
Robert William Lorenz Jr., 72, of St. Petersburg, FL (formerly of Elgin, IL) passed away October 29, 2023. He was born on October 4, 1951 in Bethesda, MD to Robert William Sr and Shirley (Zurk) Lorenz. Bob was a chef for many years at Floyd’s Restaurant in Carpentersville, IL, where he met his wife. He then went on to manage his father’s business, ACL Self-Storage. After retirement, he and Debbie moved to St. Petersburg, FL where he was helping customers at the Disston Plaza, Publix. Bob loved sports, including the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and golf. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie; his mother, Shirley Lorenz; and his daughter, Denise Lorenz and fiancé, Alyssa Andrea. A celebration of his life will take place from 5:00-8:00PM on Saturday, November 4 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th St N, St. Petersburg.
