Brian and family--I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I met him once at your home and he seemed to have a good sense of humor. I pray for the Lord to be with you and your family and bring you His peace. Barb
Dear Brian, James and Lang Family, The sadness in my heart is overwhelming and I am so sorry for the loss of a great Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend of so many....... I will never forget the first time I met Bob....... "Out Dancing" (that doesn't surprise you I am sure!). He was very charming, considerate, a real gentleman, and oh sooo funny. The years we spent together are filled with memories that will be in my heart forever. I am so thankful he was the Father of my Son and such a great Dad he was. The look on his face when Brian was born was absolute happiness and he was always, always there for Brian and James. His boys were his life and I know there was never a doubt in your minds how much he loved you both. He will be watching over you and his memories will once again put a smile on your face. Rest in Peace Papa Bob, we will all miss you.......
Brian, James and all the Lang Family, it was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Bob. He and I shared so many good laughs and some tuff times together. One reason we had a lasting friendship was that we both had a great respect for our families. We talked mostly about loved ones, be it our Dads or our wifes. This may have been our strongest bond. I watched Brian grow and heard about James growing up . Life takes many turns for all of us, good, bad and mondane. That is the stuff life is made of , and Bob and I loved to talk about it, and laugh about it. We had so many good times together, "back in our younger days", working together, and playing together . We laughed about the tuff customers and we laughed about the bad stocks we bought ! Although Bob moved to Florida from Pennsylvania many years ago. He always talked about his family back home. His Dad , the family business , his brothers were the topic of many good conversations . I can say he always had a place in his heart for his home in Pennsylvania. In a few words I can say Bob was a honest, family loving person and a good friend to have. He could perk up a boring day ! David Jaeb
Bob, thank you for being such an amazing step-dad to me in my childhood. You always made me feel special and like your own child, even to this day. As everyone has said, you were always the life of the party, making everyone smile. Your spirit and energy lives on in your two sons, who were very proud of their dad. I love you and will miss you very much! xoxo
We will miss you Papa-Bob
Dad, I really don't know what to even say at this point. You gave me everything i ever wanted. You could make me laugh so easily and would always keep a smile on my face. At times, things may have gotten rough, but those memories don't compare to this. I can't believe you are truly gone and i'm never going to see you come home. You always stressed how proud you were of me and Brian and i thank you for that because it means so much to me. You always seemed to be the life of the party. I'm glad we got to go to our first and only hockey game together, lol you couldn't shut up. We had great memories but it kills me that there are no more to be made. I so badly wanted you to be there to see me graduate college, be there when i got married, when i have my first child. I'm left with amazing memories from you though. 18 years of laughs and i'm not sure how to progress without you here, but i will do my best for you. I miss you so much and will always love you
Just wanted to send out my condolences to the Lang family who lost an extraordinary, caring and wonderful person. Bob will truely be missed by his coworkers at Walmart. May he rest in peace.
Uncle Bob,
I have come to realize through your passing how alike we were. You had an uncanny ability to connect with people of all walks of life. Your curious mind never stopped and like I explained to my father, you always had an unquenchable thirst for "the action". I am thankful that I had gotten to see you more in recent years, and connect with you on another level. You will be missed, but may we all let your passing be a reminder to cherish the times we do have with friends, family, and loved ones. Your Loving Nephew, fellow Gateway Hall of Famer, Ryan "Sgt. Slaughter" Lang
