Robert L Deloge's Obituary
Robert Leo Deloge (Bob), 80, died peacefully in his sleep Friday, March 1st 2019 at home. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor, wonderful stories, kindness to all and love for his family.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Elaine; his daughters, Susan, Sandra, Lynne and Janet; his son Tom; his sisters Margaret and Nancy; his grandchildren Brettany, Blaise, Nicole, Laura and Kelly; and many close friends near and far.
He was born and raised in Danielson CT, the son of Ernest and Dorothy Deloge. He moved to Florida in 1974 and settled in Pinellas Park.
Bob was passionate about his family, animals and sports – and most notably he served as the biggest New York Giants & Boston Red Sox Fan in greater Pinellas county. Many say you can’t be both – but Bob was. He loved to talk player stats and recount game-changing plays in great detail on nearly a daily basis. We heard many stories about Ted Williams, Lawrence Taylor, Big Poppy, and Saquon Barkley – he knew them all. He wore the love of his favorite teams literally on his sleeves, as we just found about 50 Giants/Red Sox shirts and jackets in his closet!
Please join his family and friends at the visitation and services listed below. In honor of Dad’s love of sports, the attire for the services will be casual, and we encourage everyone to wear a sports jersey or T-shirt of your favorite team. Remember, Dad will be watching!
