Robert D. Brandt's Obituary
Bob, the only child of Arthur and Beatrice Brandt, was born August 31st 1939 in Syracuse, NY. The family moved to St. Petersburg in 1947. Bob loved playing baseball while growing up. He attended public schools and graduated from Boca Ciega High school in 1957. After attending the U of Florida Bob began his business career with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. He spent 15 years with NML as an office management executive. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1972. After 42 years in the insurance industry, Bob retired from Midwest Legal Services in 2002.
Bob is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lois and 3 daughters, Catherine Clark (Scott) ,Tracy Mingus, Susan Bracci and an adopted son, Brian Brandt (Denise) as well as 5 grandchildren.
Bob passed away on September 13th at the age of 85 after having fulfilled his bucket list and then some. He enjoyed life, traveling, cruising and cheering on his Tampa Bay Rays and Florida GATORS! He was always ready for a party and spending time with his kids….
He left us too soon as he was always looking ahead to his next trip…
