Richard Henry Rech's Obituary
Richard Rech was born to Johannes and Frances Rech on August 6, 1967. On March 21, 2019, his long battle with a number of health issues came to an end. Though he was accustomed to the position of dungeon master and had even proudly defeated cancer, it seems he wasn’t able to score his own saving throw in this game.
The remaining members of Starfleet will miss him, as will his surviving family, including daughter Sarah Rech, and two grandchildren, Daniel Jr., and Aaron Fuller, who he had said on occasion that he was fighting to stay around for. They share a love of superheroes, partly as a result of his influence. He also leaves behind brother and sister Joe and Susan, and nephew Joey.
Richard spent his life doing what he loved, and spread joy to those who shared his interests. He could commonly be found at conventions, where he made many friends and enjoyed life in his own way with them. His many earthly interests, including comics, tabletop games, cinema, and literature, were a driving force for many of his actions. Outside of those worldly pursuits, however, Richard was always strongly spiritual.
Intellectually, Richard showed a passion for the analysis and decoding of human traits and actions, leading to his pursuit of a degree in psychology. At the time of his death, he was active in his classes and working hard toward his goals.
