Daddy Mac was one of a kind. a true "daddy"! He embraced all good things a daddy did- He laughed at you, He hugged you. He cried with You, He loved You to pieces, and even when it was hard for him to remember your name, he sat alone in the quiet so he could remember one at a time. I loved Him, My family loved him. Such a hardworking and wonderful man whose family meant everything to him. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of holidays at the MacClinchy house on Birch Lane. Deepest sympathy to all the family - hold those fond memories close and he will remain alive in your hearts forever.
When I met Mr MacClinchy 40 some years ago, he was still a working man, bigger than life. If it wasn't for his kindness, I would have found him to be intimidating. I feel bad for his sweet daughter Bobbe, who loved him so deeply. MAy your precious memories bring you comfort, my friend!
