Richard Leland Hess, Sr. died February 5, 2014, at Golfview Heathcare Center. He was a long time member of Allendale United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by parents, Irving Lela Read Obituary
So many fond memories of such a nice family. We did not get to see the Florida cousins as much as some because of distance but I will always remember a quiet and sweet family. Richard and Mary are now reunited after a long wait.
As Dick's minister at Allendale UMC during the mid 70's I was saddened to hear of his death. He was a quiet, devout, loyal member and employee of the church. I was fortunate to have worked with Dick, and to have enjoyed his friendship.
