Rene Santiago Ruiz's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Rene Santiago Ruiz on Friday, December 20, 2024. A man of unwavering determination, and strong convictions, Rene lived life on his own terms and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Rene had a remarkable career, excelling as a computer engineer, entrepreneur, business owner, and healthcare administrator. His dedication, intelligence, and work ethic were evident in every role he took on, and he approached his professional life with the same determination that defined him. Rene’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed were matched only by his love for his family and his commitment to creating a better life for them.
Born on July 25, 1958, in Havana, Cuba, Rene was known for his dedication and deep sense of loyalty to the people he loved. He was a man who believed in doing things his way—a trait that inspired both admiration and a few laughs from those who knew him best. His heart was as big as his will, and his love for his family was boundless.
He is survived by his loving wife, Grisel; his mother, Aliette Ellis; his daughters, Michelle Fidler and Jennifer Ruiz; and his granddaughters, Veronica Contreras and Nyasia Ruiz, who will forever cherish the lessons he taught them about strength, perseverance, and standing firm in one’s beliefs. He is also survived by his brother, Arturo Ruiz, his wife, Mari Ruiz; and his nieces, Nicole and Christina, who will always hold his memory in their hearts.
Rest in peace Honey, Papi, Abuelo, may your loving spirit and strength remain with us always and forever.
