Raymond H. 'Ray Blumel's Obituary
Blumel, Raymond H. 'Ray', 81, of St. Petersburg, passed away Thursday May 10th, at his residence. He was a native of St. Paul, MN where he moved from to this area in 1965. He was retired from West Coast Engineering of St. Petersburg and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Petersburg. He was a US Army-Air Force veteran of WWII serving as a fighter pilot. He enjoyed boating, fishing and the great outdoors. He was quite the handy man and carpenter and loved his baseball and NASCAR. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Helen; his daughter, Donna Blumel of St. Petersburg; three sons, Raymond H. Blumel, Jr. of Sierra Vista, AZ, Thomas Blumel of Old Town, FL and Stephen Blumel of Ft. Myers; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
