Randy Mason Owen, had a Green thumb! Me, I have half a green thumb. But, planting flowers was a humbling passion we did both shared together, Watching the growing greenery in my tiny little garden, I felt inspired. Also, inspired were all the neighbors. I had something to enjoy, now, they could enjoy it too!
I loved his laugh, and his witty humor. I recall once pulling over on highway 275 in stitches, bent over the wheel, laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Speeding cars flying by. So scary! Sorry, Randy, your humor got you into a lot more trouble than you'd care to admit.
Randy loved music and was an instrumental force in mentoring friends and fellow musicians by teaching them songs and lecturing on theory. I remember he taught me a song he wrote on my Yamaha guitar about his child pet poodle, Pierre. Randy, believe it or not could carry a tune, Good on you man.
He was great soul, that had barbecues in his backyard, He taught me how to play Horse Shoes. Now, it's Corn Hole, what a joke.
Randy loved his dog smokey, a black lab. I was there when she got hit and the Vet bill was over 1200.00 dollars for leg pins. That was a good day, she was fine and they became an inseparable pair.
When I'm in trouble, really in trouble, I'd call Randy, He was a champion for woman's rights, I loved that about him, He stood up for women. Now, that's a real gentleman. Thank you, Randy.
Randall Mason was a good man, he touched us with his sweet smile and generosity, He truly had a heard of gold, We love you and you'll be truly, truly, missed,
You were a brave soldier. Until we meet again. Peace.
