Phyllis Matilda Pascucci's Obituary
Pascucci, Phyllis M. "Rosa" "Nana" (Mitchell), 87, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Woodside Hospice. Born in Gloucester, Ma on August 19, 1924 to Richard and Isabelle Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Francis L. Pascucci. Survived by her son Richard Pascucci (wife-Phyllis) of Essex, MA and daughter Elizabeth Beougher (Companion Jim Schimpf), grandchildren Drew Swafford of Pinellas Park, Lisa Salami, Michael Pascucci (MA); 5 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Swafford and Isabella D'Andrea (FL), Joe, Maria, Anthony Salami (MA); 2 great-granddaughters, Samantha Pascucci (MA) and Alliyah Pascucci (FL); as well as 2 brother-in-laws and 4 sister-in-laws. Prior to moving to Florida, she was a hairdresser. She worked for General Electric in Pinellas County, Florida for 20 years as a switchboard operator. This job provided her with a lifelong friendship with Marion Gaynor (deceased) and Gladys Hartranft. During her lifetime, she traveled with her husband Frank (Luigi) and provided many wonderful trips and memories for airline personnel/families. She was known to many as "Rosa" and for a long time no one knew her real name! and she also enjoyed playing bingo and was a whiz at crossword puzzles. She would never turn down a chance to play cards.
No services will be held. The family of Phyllis Pascucci would like to thank the caregivers at ResCare and the Suncoast Woodside Hospice for their wonderful care given to her. In lieu of flowers: Donation may be made to SPCA, Suncoast Hospice, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Association, or a charity of your choice.
