Philip Christopher Stupia's Obituary
I am sad to announce the passing of My Uncle, Philip Christopher Stupia, 94, of Clearwater, FL passed away on October 16, 2023. He was born on February 22, 1929, in Rochester, NY to Christopher and Mary (D’Assaro) Stupia. Philip married Caroline Valerio in 1956. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served time in the Korean Conflict. Philip spent 29 years working for the Mineola School District until he retired. He enjoyed playing his organ, helping friends, family, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st brother, Frank who died as a baby; Frank, Russel, Rose (Stupia) Kritzer, nephew Richard Charles and loving wife of 57 years, Caroline. Survivors include his last remaining brother; Charles Thomas; nieces, Toni Lynn (Stupia) Medjuck and Denise Ann (Stupia) Barbieri; numerous great nieces and nephews. He also is survived by Caroline’s nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00PM and from 6:00-9:00PM (dinner will be provided) on Sunday, October 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th St N., St. Petersburg, FL.A final viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 23 at the funeral home from 8:00-9:00AM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00Am on Monday, October 23 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL followed by interment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at 12:30PM with military honors.
