Philip M. McCollam's Obituary
McCollam, Philip M., 77, of St Petersburg died July 24, 2009 at Bay Pines Medical Center. He was born in Charleston, WV and retired from the Air Force in 1972 after 26 years of service. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, American Legion post 104, VFW Post 4364, AmVets Post 7467 and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Millie"; son Philip, Jr of Orlando; daughters, Kathy O'Dell, Alice Fitzpatrick both of Kissimmee, Cathy Carver of Pinellas Park, Denise Motes and Patti McCollam both of St. Petersburg; sister, Leota Griffith of Charleston; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Timothy and a daughter Patti. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-8 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday at Transfiguration Catholic Church. Interment, with full military honors following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
