Mr. Philip M. Carbone's Obituary
Carbone, Philip M., 84, St. Petersburg, passed away on Saturday Dec 13, 2008 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Ashtabula, OH, he came here in 1934. He attended local schools and was a 1942 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. He served in the Army during WWII with the 389th AAA Battalion in the Pacific Theatre of operations as a fire control operator. He was an accounting manager for the Florida Power Corporation retiring in 1990 after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Pioneer Club, the FPC Retirement Association, and the Over the Hill Gang. He was an avid traveler, enjoyed fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June W.; and a sister, Mary Sardin; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday Dec 19, 2008 from 1PM to 2PM. A funeral service will follow at 2PM. Interment will be in the cemetery immediately following the service.
