Mr. Peter T Lenas' Obituary
Lenas, Peter T. 93, of Seminole, passed away on Dec. 14, 2012. Peter was born on Oct. 22, 1919 in Ft. Myers. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Business degree and from the University of Miami with a law degree. He was in the Army and had many memories of time spent in Guadalcanal and the Fiji Islands. He worked as an Assistant State Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit, in Clearwater for 26 years where he helped start the County and Juvenile Division. Peter was one of the founding members of St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg where he aided in securing the property upon which the church was built. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Floreen C. Lenas, two sisters, Frances Lenas and Mary Rivers and one brother, Stanley Lenas. He is survived by his brother, Mike Lenas; sons, Tom (Anita), Michael (Anita), James (Carol); daughter, Katherine Pippin (Jeff); five grandchildren, Harmony, Peter, Autumn, Jimmy and Jeffrey; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church.
