Mrs. Pauline L Foster's Obituary
Pauline Louise Foster, 85, of St.Petersburg passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2014. She was born in Tampa, Florida on December 6, 1928. She was the only child out of six to be born in the United States. Her family moved back to the Cayman Islands when she was 3 years old because the Great Depression hit the United States. She grew up in her beloved Cayman Brac and moved to Florida in 1951 with her late husband Charley. She worked in retail most of her life. When her husband Charley retired, she also retired. When her first grandchild was born to her daughter Sherry, she and Charley invested their retirement years in their grandchildren. She enjoyed 65 years of marriage to the love of her life. She tirelessly cared for Charley the last 2 1/2 years of his life. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son Charles II and wife Margie, her daughter Sherry and husband Rollin Lightfield; 5 grandchildren; Bradley Lightfield and wife Kristi, Adam Lightfield and wife Stephanie, Daniel Foster and wife Kirsten, Trey Foster & her only granddaughter Jennifer Lightfield Ryan and husband Patrick. 6 great-grandchildren; Blake, Evan, Carter, & Edyn Lightfield, Benjamin Foster, & Liam Ryan. Two sisters Louise Tibbetts and Margaret Scott. Three sisters-in-law; Reba Foster, Ouida Foster & Zita Kirkconnell both live in the cayman islands. Plus many nieces & nephews who live around the world. She will surely be missed by her family and many friends.
