Paula Maxwell's Obituary
Maxwell, Paula M. 80, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2023. Paula was born in Friedberg, Germany. Paula was a proud Methodist who loved to share the glory of God with all who met her. Paula enjoyed reading, preparing German heritage foods and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy in life was her husband Edwin whom she met in Germany when he was stationed in Friedberg and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paula dedicated her life to caring for and loving special needs children following a tragic accident with her daughter, Tracy. Paula had a heart of gold, she loved to help others in any way she was able to do so. When visiting her you had to come prepared to eat because she would feed you a meal and tell you a story about growing up in Germany. Paula loved to collect angels as they were a symbol of the loved ones that had passed. Paula’s daily routine including feeding her squirrels and koi fish and the wild birds, she loved the nature that surrounded her in Brooksville. Paula was a simple woman; she never needed the fancy things in life, just your friendship and love.
Her legacy will live on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by 5 sons, Ludwig, Matthew, Christopher of Brooksville, FL, Ray of Clearwater, FL, and Ed Jr. (Jennifer) of Gainesville, GA; daughters, Ludwina, Nicole and Michelle of Brooksville, FL; 9 grandchildren Tracy, Marie, Tammy, Victoria, Ray Jr, Mark, Teressa, Hannah and James; 5 great grandchildren Sebastian, Bentley, Tristian, Aiden and Delilah and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edwin Maxwell and daughters Tracy, Tammy, Jennifer and Pauline.
The family is accepting visitors at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10:00 am, with the funeral starting at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Paula’s love for children.
