Paul J Winfield's Obituary
Paul J. Winfield, 97, of Largo, Fl., passed away December 21, 2018. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years Sophie who passed in 2011.
Paul was born in Schenectady, NY and was a graduate of Virginia Tech where he studied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and he studied at the Wharton School of the Univ. of PA.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII and served as an Artillery Officer. Prior to relocating to Largo Paul was employed as a Chemist by the Dupont Co., and then spent 34 years as a salesman, sales manager and market researcher in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Paul was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assoc, the National Golfers Hole-in-One Club, as well as several Pharmaceutical industry professional associations. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Largo Elks Lodge #2159 and a member of the American Legion, post #273, Madeira Beach, FL.
Paul is survived by 3 children – Gary S. of Marietta, GA., Thomas B. (Patty) of Zelienople, PA., Donna Fleece of Treasure Island, FL., 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
