Paul Gerome Thubet's Obituary
Paul Gerome Thubet, 90, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022. Paul was born on February 2, 1932, in Deurne, Antwerp, Belgium to the late Joseph Thubet and Maria Bouman. At age 19, he moved to Butler, Pennsylvania and served in the United States Army. There he also met his wife of 43 years, Peggy Thubet. In 1970, his family relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida where he had a fulfilling career in automotive mechanics and loved collecting diecast cars.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Unfortunately, in March of 2003, Paul lost his wife, Peggy. He is also pre-deceased by his brother-in-law Steve Romitz. Paul's memory will be carried on by his beloved daughters Maureen (Rob) Bryarly and Lori (Tom) Pettit; cherished grandchildren Megan Bryarly, Andrew Pettit, and Alea Pettit; siblings Monique Romitz, Gerard (Jean) Thubet, and half-brother Jan Bouman; and lastly extended family members and friends.
Memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM with inurnment to follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Suncoast Hospice.
